Steal Anime Eggs Guide

How to steal anime eggs

The steal is the first step in the official loop and the one that fails most often. Almost every failed run fails in the first three seconds.

Quick answer

Pick the egg, run the shortest line back to your base, and do not stop moving. Speed decides whether the escape works, so practise the route with empty hands before you carry anything.

What a steal run actually is

A steal run has three parts: approach, grab, escape. The approach and the escape are the same route in opposite directions. The grab is the only part you cannot practise alone.

Practise the route empty-handed first

Before you take anything, walk the route to your target and back with nothing in your hands. Learn the turns. The gameplay that kills runs is not the Anime, it is a player who grabs an egg and then has to think about which way to run.

Approach

Pick a target that is close to your base, not one that looks rarest. For your early runs the value of the egg matters far less than the distance home, because the whole point of the first hours is to build a repeatable routine rather than a single lucky haul.

Escape

Once you are carrying an egg, every second matters. Move immediately, take the line you already practised, and do not detour for a second egg. If your Speed is short for the route, you will feel it in the first few metres — that is the signal to go back and train rather than to try again immediately.

Speed is the real limit

The official description makes treadmill training one of the eight things you do, and this is why. Speed is not a cosmetic stat: it is what buys you a clean exit. If you keep getting caught on the same route, the answer is almost never a better route, it is more treadmill time.

Grabbing bigger and rarer eggs

The description says you discover rarer eggs, sizes and mutations. Rarer and larger targets sit alongside the risk of a longer or harder return trip, so treat each one as a decision: is my Speed comfortable on this route, or am I gambling? Gambling occasionally is fine. Gambling every run is how a session produces nothing.

FAQ

How do I know which egg is worth taking?

Read the egg on the pedestal. The game's own labels tell you what you are looking at, and the risky ones are the ones that push you into routes you have not practised.

Should I steal from other players instead?

Player plots pay more when they work, and cost more when they fail, because the owner can react. Get one clean Anime steal working first.

What if another player takes the egg I was going for?

Respawn and take the next one. With six players per server, contested pedestals are normal. Standing still to complain is the only guaranteed loss.
